Stichting Animal Protect exists to make direct, verifiable help possible for animals in need. The pain of such an animal may be visible, but so may the recovery: a safe place, a quiet night, a first meal and eventually a look that is no longer only fear.
Act immediately
When an animal cannot wait, help has to start quickly. We want to keep the distance between a report and the first care as small as possible.

For every case we show what is needed medically or practically, what has already been raised and which steps are still open.
Calm, dignified communication
We want to move people without exaggerating. Clear language and real images do more for that than big promises.
Building structural protection
A one-off gift saves one specific animal. Monthly protectors make it possible to be ready faster for the next report.
How we work
Not abstract suffering, but visible help.
When an animal needs acute care, we want to act fast and stay honest about what is settled and what is not. That is why we link one-off donations to concrete cases as much as we can.
Alongside that we are building a warm protector route for people who want to make structural readiness possible: first shelter, transport and immediate medical steps before a separate campaign is fully under way.
Not every organisational detail has to be spelled out publicly while procedures are still running. Where information is still developing, we choose restraint over false certainty.

Our story
This is how we started the foundation together.
Stichting Animal Protect, a Dutch animal charity, did not start at a boardroom table but from a moment that kept returning: the message or the image of an animal where you feel straight away that waiting is no longer an option.
A dog lying too quietly in a corner. An animal that does not understand why it hurts. Eyes full of tension, while you sense that behind them trust still wants to live. That is exactly where we realised that sympathy alone is not enough.
So together we started a foundation that wants to help faster, more humanely and more openly. Not with big words, but by showing per animal: this is the need, this is what is required today, and this is what recovery can look like when people do not look away.
What binds us is not an abstract plan but a shared conviction: an injured or abandoned animal should not depend on chance. It should be able to count on people willing to take responsibility, even when that is uncomfortable, expensive or urgent.
That is why we are building a foundation where a one-off gift can turn a life around immediately, and where monthly protectors make sure the next rescue does not have to wait for the question whether there is any budget.
Why people help us
Because they do not only see the sorrow, they also recognise that quiet turning point: the moment an animal carefully eats again, relaxes for the first time or briefly moves its tail. That small beginning of recovery stays with people.

Hoe werkt Stichting Animal Protect na een melding?
Na een geverifieerde melding regelen we zo snel mogelijk vervoer, eerste opvang en medische zorg. We houden de afstand tussen melding en eerste zorg zo klein mogelijk en delen het herstel eerlijk.
Is Stichting Animal Protect een erkende ANBI?
Onze ANBI-status is aangevraagd en nog niet definitief toegekend. We communiceren hier open over en werken volgens de eisen die bij een ANBI horen, zodat we klaar zijn zodra de status er is.
